Step1: Look and say

T:Firstly, I will show you some pictures. Can you tell me what these pictures about?

Ss:They are about weather.

T:This is the title of Unit 6"Weather".Read after me.

Look at the picture. What does this look like?

Ss:It looks like the sun.

T:What kind of weather can you see?

Ss:Sunny.

T:Do you like sunny days? What can you do on sunny days?

This is about rainny.What can you do on rainny days?

T:Just now, you talk about different weather and different activities.

T:Can you think about the big question of this unit?

Ss:What can you do in sunny days?What do you do in different weather?

T:He can get big hands. Let's read together."What do you do in different weather? "

T:I think after today's lesson, you will learn more about the big question.

郭老师导入的方式非常直接、高效,通过呈现跟天气相关的三张图片,引导学生猜猜他们的关联,从而引出主题weather。作者对weather的板书设计非常有特色,新颖。呈现sunny,rainny的图片,并询问学生什么天气,可以在这样的天气做这么?铺垫在此,从而引导学生猜测本节课的big question 是什么,这样的导入非常别致、有创意,而且大量的提问、思考,也能促进学生思维品质和表达能力的提升。

Step2:Look and say

T:Let's look at the picture. This is the first page of Unit6 Weather.It's a large picture, isn't it?

Please look at the picture carefully and tell me what can you see in the picture?

S: I can see five different weather./Sunny/windy/rainy...

T:Let's read them together...

T:We use warm to descible "temperature".

Ss:Sanya is hot.

T:We use the thermometer to describle temperature. Can you help me put them in the right place?

Read after them.

T:They are not only a good teacher, I think they are also good teacher.

Hot,warm,cool, next, what we say?

S:Cold.

Which place is cold/hot in the picture?

S:Harbin/Sanya.

T:Why they have different weather?

Ss:Because Harbin is in the north. Sanya is in the south.

T:So China is very...

Ss:Large.

T:So different places have...?

Ss:Different weather.

T:Look at the boy, he's Liu Tao. Can you find any one else in the picture?

S:Bobby and Sam.

T:What are they doing?

S:They are looking are Liu Tao.

T:I think you know the weather well.

It's time for you to ask and answer different weather.How can we ask about weather?

Ss:What's the weather like in Beijing?

How to answer it?

We can say "it's..."

郭老师牢牢抓住书本上的主图片,先从整体上提问学生看到了什么?学生回答:看到了5种天气,郭老师继续提问:5种天气分别是什么?在提问中复习5种天气。一句“What esle can you see?”智慧地得出学生的答案cold,warm,hot.老师智慧地呈现单词和温度计,继续追问“Next, what we say?”引出cold一次。此刻,老师通过一个智慧地Why?引导学生思考,从而生发Different places have different weather.老师的提问非常智慧,环环相后,一步步引导学生观察的过程中思考,思考的过程中领悟,从而提炼。

Step3:Song time

T:On the whole picture,can you find some informatin about the rain? Let me show you something.

This part is about our little friend little Johnny.

He sings a song about rainy.

Let's listen and think"Does Johnny like rainy days? Why?"

S:No. Because the song say"Go away".

T:Perfect. You got the key sentence.

What does "go away "mean? Can you do some actions?

Let's sing it together.

Step 4:Read and answer

T:In the song, little Johnny doesn't like rainny days.Let's move to next part:Cartoon time, A rainny day.

Please read the story silently.Please tell me "Does Bobby like rainy days and why?"

Please open your books on P52, read the passage silently .

S:Bobby likes rainy days,because he...

T:Why a rainy day can Bobby buy a toy car.

S:Because Bobby's Dad says"save your money on a rainy day".

T:On which picture, you can find the sentence?

S:P2.

T:So after Bobby's father say the sentence,what does Bobby do next?

S:He looks at the weather.

Step 5: Watch and answer

T:Let's watch the video, and tell me why does Bobby look at the weather every day?

S: Because Bobby wants to buy the toy car. He waits for the rainy days.

Step6:Read and complete

T:Now we know why Bobby likes the rainy day.

Step7:Read and feel

T:Now, we know the weather, but how does Bobby feel these days?"Oh, it's sunny and hot."Who can read this sentence?How does Bobby feel?

S: He feels upset/disappointed.

T:I love this word. Can you read it with Bobby's disappointed?

T:On the first day, it's a sunny day, Bobby feels diappointed.

On the second day, it's a cloudy day. Bobby feels disppointed.

What about the last one?Let's listen and tell me.
